Homeopathy is a system of natural healthcare that has been used worldwide for over 200 years.
Homeopathy treats each person as a unique individual with the aim of stimulating their own healing ability. A homeopath selects the most appropriate medicine based on the individual's specific symptoms and personal level of health. I approach each person as an individual, and now I see after 9 years of working (with admittedly, 2 or 3 exceptions), that each person approaching me is stuck somewhere. It could be an emotional complaint - anxiety, depression or anger; or a physical complaint - a cough that won't clear, a pain or IBS. It's the rare person that comes with nothing wrong, just to experience the process or for you to have an awareness of them in case they get ill later on. But sometimes I see that too. What I'll always try and do is match the symptoms being experienced to those which match a remedy that might help them. I see now that we heal ourselves, the remedy acts as a stimulant, a catalyst to allow that to occur. I work with people who are going through many different things, experiencing grief, shock, loss, anxiety, OCD, fatigue, people who are struggling with headaches, rheumatism. I support people undergoing treatment for cancer, and homeopathy can work well to alleviate side effects of drugs if needed here, as well as aiming to support the general health of the individual. I also work with that nebulous, hard to look at with conventional medicine complaint, that 'I just don't feel like 'me' anymore'. Whilst with conventional medicine, this is hard to treat frequently, using holistic medical approaches, such as homeopathy, we can explore this further and frequently, help in a return to 'feeling like 'me' again' - it's always a joy for me to hear those words! Sometimes we might work with mindfulness techniques which may be useful exercises for you to use at home, or I may recommend books or approaches for you to look at. We might look at what your lifestyle is doing to help or hinder your health. What I always try and do is be there with the client in front of me as an individual, it doesn't matter how many cases I've seen of that named complaint, it's about how you do it that's important right then. So that's what I focus on. I love to be able to help people move forwards with a spring in their step, healthier and happier. If you've any questions or would like to know how homeopathy may help you, please get in touch with me on [email protected] or by phone 07734 861297. With best wishes, Em
