My story
My first experience of Homeopathy for was in 1995 when our family horse was treated for a conventionally 'incurable' and recurrent eye disease. After a 5 day course of a single remedy, it never recurred.
I realised that I wanted to work with people whilst on work experience in sixth form. I was standing next to a vet, his arm shoulder deep inside a horse. It was when I looked at the owner of the horse and realised I was more intrigued by how he was behaving, curious about what he was thinking, than what was going on with the horse. And so, my 10-year ambition of becoming a vet drew to a close.
The next step was the University of Manchester where a Joint Honours Degree course on Psychology and Neuroscience lit a fire in my belly. In 2003 I started studying homeopathy at the North West College of Homeopathy, again in Manchester, UK.
Fast forward to the present day, I combine a love of people with my love of learning. After graduating in 2007 from the NWCH, I went on to undertake further study, including with Jeremy Sherr (3 year Dynamis course) and with Helen Dalton, Grazia Gatti and Ilana Danaheisser teaching the work of Drs Bhawisha and Shachindra Joshi (2 year Evolving Sensation course). Work for me is a combination of working with clients, supervising students; including a role at The School of Homeopathy as their Clinical Supervision Assessor and teaching in 2 homeopathy colleges. I also trained in 2021 to become a leader of Laughter Yoga.
Working around being a mum to a spirited teenager and several fur babies, life is never dull! When I have a moment off you can find me paddle boarding, hanging out with my daughter, wild swimming with friends or my partner, walking the dogs or with my nose in a book.
As you might have gathered from the above, I am a keen student as well as passionate practitioner of homeopathy. I haven't found anything as intriguing as this, and, matched well to the person, a homeopathic medicine can have effects I've not seen the like of before. I am curious to learn more and continue to enhance how I work.
I work face to face as well as online, mainly via Zoom but am happy to work with other platforms if needed too.
I am registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths which represents professional homeopaths in the UK and Europe, and abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice.
I'm an affiliate for Leonie Dawson's courses. I've loved her from afar for a long time and having then dived into one of her courses and LOVED it. Heart centred, focussed on you, generous and authentic, it was all I thought it would be. If you want to find out more, have a look here.
