Thoughts on the world, homeopathy, mindfulness and food...
A collection of blog posts - feel free to respond with your thoughts and comments - I love to have feedback - thank you!
The four homeopaths are 4th year students at CHE, three of them have experienced in dealing with emergency situations. In May 2015, we were able to fly to Nepal in the aftermath of the earthquake and see how homeopathy helps in such crisis.
This trip to Northern France is about focusing on women and children who are fleeing Syria. The number of refugees keep growing and they are literally rotting in those miserable camps. We will be reporting on the cases we are treating there. I cannot comment on the ailments we are going to treat. Experience has taught us to keep an open mind. It would be wonderful to have the support of the homeopathic community in the UK. We have remedies from our personal pharmacy and donations too. We need more donations in terms of remedies but also financial support to bring food parcels and pay for lab/GP/hospital when necessary. Thank you for your support and for reaching out, https://www.generosity.com/emergencies-fundraising/the-surrender-project/x/12944235

There's water everywhere, and anti-homeopathy jokes aplenty. Don't get me wrong, I like a sense of humour in a person and can laugh at myself, and often may happily wonder about how this wonderful medicine can work. The thing is what I really don't like is dishonesty, denial of openness to investigate truth and ignorance (in a rude way not in a not knowing way). So the 'oh there's homeopathy flooding everywhere', 'turn on your tap and get your remedy' type comments, well frankly they're pretty pointless. Because? They're so way off the mark of accuracy it's just about laughable. Yes homeopathy is diluted, yes frequently water is used as a carrier. Is that all it is? Well no. Substances are selected on a basis of similarity 'like cures like', which is a law that has more than stood the test of time. Conventional medicine even uses homeopathic (homeo=like, pathos=suffering) approaches, and appears to be doing so with increasing frequency. Ritalin use, some chemotherapeutic agents and peanut allergy treatment are both examples of the philosophy behind homeopathy in practice. Without this homeopathy, well isn't homeopathy. We may have catching up to do on the finer mechanism and describing that to the public. I'm happy to sit back and leave that to the research scientists who are doing just that. Have a look at www.hri-research.org. What I can do, and love doing, is seeing the beauty of what those simple rules translate to. Less is indeed more. I've seen one client who is saving the NHS around £1000 a year with not needing medication she'd been prescribed due to using homeopathy (as always the drugs reduced unders doctors guidance now she's able to do so). Like really does appear to resonate with like. And, how funny, for over 2000 years this has been thought to be so. Now what's the new medicine?! I think the homeopathic philosophies have, and indeed, are standing the test of time. Being in Findhorn recently has brought much light to my life, clarified reasoning and made sense of darkness. We are indeed living in unprecedented times. Times of darkness, power hungry, evil driven. And yet, the potential for light is so enormous. The privilege of being alive now is huge. Most days I cry at what's happening but that's not always at the bad. There is so much good, such outpouring of kindness, of love happening all around me. We have the biggest potential ever now to cause death and destruction. And equally, to help, to show humanity, our love for others. To connect globally, as citizens of this earth, undivided by colour and border and words. I feel blessed to have so many people around me making a difference in this world to people's lives. I don't want us to hate the acts of others, be aware, yes; do what we can to do, be and say what we believe in, from our hearts, but not to turn back to hateful acts with hatred. This, I believe simply mirrors and escalates that energy. Mother Theresa taught how if we want to have world peace start with our homes, our families, ourselves. I believe the time is greater than ever, the calling more needed than ever to look at ourselves, to go deep within and integrate our own shadow, accept and learn to love our own darkness. I believe right now we have a responsibility to do this, not to focus our energy on the other but to resolve our shit, get it together ourselves. One person at a time though, what can they do?! What if each one person did it? 30, 100, 20,000 people do it, when does it start to make a difference? How can we possibly know if we don't begin. Being the change we wish to see in the world. With love and gratitude for all who teach me x |
