Smoothies and Juices
I like them simple. Simpler the better. So there'll be no hunting around the amazon for that elusive plant to make your drink...
Smoothies (featuring the simple banana)..... Like so totally simple your child could make them. And easy. And tasty!
Take, for example, a banana smoothie. Bananas. That's it. And water. And it's so totally creamy and delicious it's delectable.
To every 5 medium sized bananas I tend to use 1/2 a pint of water. Add to blender and blend.
There's loads more you can do, add and enjoy but if you use this as a base then add ingredients into it you're onto a winner. Adding romaine lettuce is one of my favourites, as is celery (2 stalks) and apricots (a handful or so), spinach, iceberg, a cup of frozen berries or a tablespoon of cocoa powder for non-raw fans. Mango is another favourite addition of mine or for a lunch time meal replacement, 4 peaches added in are just divine.
So for starters give it a go and see where it takes you.
