Thoughts on the world, homeopathy, mindfulness and food...
A collection of blog posts - feel free to respond with your thoughts and comments - I love to have feedback - thank you!
I can't seem to get through thinking about this blog without the Kasey Chambers (Australian country singer) song going through my head and so only felt right I should call it this. Driving back home from a meeting this week, I mused afresh how ultimately we've all got a terminal diagnosis. Yes we may not have a fixed 'enjoy before' date that we've been doled out by a man (or gal of course) in a white coat with a serious expression but we're all heading to the final destination at varying speeds. I say this not to be negative, a party pooper or kill joy, but instead to think about how you would live given the knowledge that it really isn't forever. What would bother you less? More? What would you want more or less of? For me, I don't think it would be cash in the bank that I'd be seeking (unless to find the essential travel to sort my itchy feet!). I'd like to be less distracted by my phone at times and more right here in the here and now. Funnily enough (regular readers would know how I love a bit of synchronicity), I got home, still musing away, and my friend came over, telling me how he'd had an interesting conversation a day or two ago around what you'd do if you know you were going to die a year from the day. So what would you do? What experiences would you seek? Who would you forgive, love, open up to and want to spend more time with? What stuff really wouldn't matter? I'm not saying you need to let that go but how would it be to drop the baggage and just be. To radiate your unique you-ness into the world without fear or judgement. To not care if your naked bottom got seen by the fisherman as you laughed your way out of the river... (Ha just checking I've still got your attention!). Joking aside, this stuff can take time. Homeopathy and mindfulness can be both amazing tools in helping individuals along the journey. If you've any questions around what I might be able to do to help you, or how you might help yourself with tools and techniques then please get in touch. With love, Em xx
